Supply Chain Hacks are a Cybersecurity Nightmare

In case you haven’t already heard the news, Bloomberg recently dropped a bombshell. It reported that for the past several years — if not longer — Chinese government operatives have been inserting microchips into hardware used at more than 30 major American companies. Reportedly, these chips allow state actors to create back-doors into any network running the altered machines, compromising its cybersecurity.

At this time, it’s unknown precisely how many manufacturers were impacted, and how many systems and devices contain these microchips.
