Snapdragon 800 devices reportedly won’t receive Android 7.0 update

Devices powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 and 810 processors reportedly won’t get upgraded to Android 7.0 owing to the processor’s support for the Vulkan API.

So says a tweet (below) via LlabTooFer, which claims that Qualcomm won’t release graphics drivers for the Snapdragon 800 or 801. Nougat’s added support for the Vulkan API means that devices powered by these chips are unlikely to be upgraded to Android 7.0.
