BlinqIO, an autonomous generative AI (Gen AI) software testing company, recently announced a significant $5 million funding round led by Flint Capital, alongside prominent Silicon Valley executives. The funding aims to address the global shortage of test programmers by facilitating BlinqIO’s expansion across the U.S. and enabling the roll-out of its AI-driven test automation engineer. Distinctively, BlinqIO leverages generative AI to autonomously execute and maintain test scripts, effectively minimizing the need for human intervention. This innovative approach could alleviate many of the bottlenecks currently plaguing the software development lifecycle, potentially revolutionizing the way companies handle software testing. The impressively diverse group of investors supporting this funding round includes Inovia Capital Precede Fund I, which counts former Google CFO Patrick Pichette among its leaders, and former Deliveroo CFO Raif Jacobs, along with TAL Ventures and SeedIL. BlinqIO’s founders, Tal Barmeir and Guy Arieli, bring a wealth of experience to the table, having previously created Experitest’s SeeTest SaaS digital test automation platform, a platform that gained significant traction and was eventually acquired by TPG and rebranded as Digital.ai. BlinqIO builds on this legacy, utilizing advanced AI technologies, including large language models (LLM), to comprehend requirements, execute them, and automatically create and maintain test automation code in over 50 languages.
