iOS 9.3 update fixes iPhones borked by date change bug

APPLE HAS RELEASED a new beta of iOS 9.3 that includes a fix for 64-bit iPhones and iPads bricked when the date was set to 1 January 1970.

No, we’re not sure why you’d do this either, but it emerged earlier this month that changing the date has wreaked havoc on handfuls of Reddit users who now have an expensive Apple-branded brick on their hands.
