Anyone wanna buy McAfee? Intel is reportedly planning to shift the business and can’t be arsed to roll it into its systems as a protection wang and will just move on and forget about the whole thing.
The news on this comes from the Financial Times (paywall), and finds Intel scratching its chin over the business and its options.
Intel was going to embed antivirus in its chips, but we all know how these things go. Like the painting of the fence, and the putting up of shelves, some jobs don’t come easy.
