Hyatt finds malware in its payment systems

Worldwide hotel chain Hyatt announced today that it found malware in its payment processing systems.

The company, which owns 627 properties in 52 countries, said that it launched an investigation into the matter with ‘leading third-party cyber security experts’ as soon as it discovered the malicious activity.

Hyatt hasn’t said which locations and how many customers may have been affected. However, it advised customers to review their payment card account statements for unauthorized charges.
