Head over to a specific page at the Visual Studio extension gallery, and you’ll find the brand-new Minecraft Mod Developer Pack. Not only is it a free download, but the entire thing is open source: you can download the code from Microsoft’s GitHub project page if you want to take a peek at (or tinker with) the extension’s inner workings.
