First things first, In software testing, test automation is the use of software separate from the application being tested to validate the desired functionality of the application under test.
Confusing? Well, basically speaking it’s providing an additional security blanket to the stakeholders and the developers to go faster, develop and refactor with confidence that the product didn’t break by code changes made.
During the course of history, test automation tools have evolved along with the software development trends.
