Last week, two YouTubers were exposed for being the owners of a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive gambling site called CSGOLotto, which they promoted on their respective channels without disclosure. It was a rather large scandal that shined a light on the gambling community that had grown aroundCS:GO‘s in-game trading system.
During all of this, Valve remained strangely silent considering these sites used Steam to perform unauthorized, unregulated, and in some cases, illegal transactions. However, Valve has finally come forth and announced it will beingcracking down on them.
