Next year’s big Windows 10 updates are codenamed Redstone

The gang in Redmond is clearly pretty excited about their acquisition of Mojang last year… so much so that they’ve just codenamed their first product after something from the world of Minecraft.

In 2016, Microsoft will reportedly release two substantial updates for Windows 10. They’ve dubbed these updates Redstone, a nod to the ore that powers all those fantastic contraptions you’ve seen people building in Minecraft over the years — like a functioning hard drive and word processor.
