Skype has just rolled out an update for its Android app that brings a slew of new features to the service, including the ability to save and keep important video messages.

“Sometimes the most precious memories are the everyday moments. And at Skype, we want to help people come together so they can share experiences wherever they are. Today, we’re excited to launch Skype 6.11 for Android, which brings new features that will help you share and keep those moments that matter,” the Skype team said in a blog post.

The updated version lets users save video messages by simply tapping the thumbnail in conversation view and choosing the ‘Save to Gallery’ option, meaning videos from loved ones can now be easily preserved.
